After the postponement of the final part of Alicization due to COVID-19, fans of the anime Sword Art Online can rest assured, as the new season is now confirmed to be released in July.
The confirmation came via a live stream from Dengeki Online, and from the anime's producer himself: Masami Niwa.
Furthermore, Masami assured that the entire anime development team worked hard to deliver the season in July with excellent quality.
This season will finally conclude the Alicization of Sword Art Online, which now totals 37 episodes.
On the other hand, the Light Novel continues after Alicization, with the subsequent arc called Unitial Ring, but there is no confirmation of an adaptation.
