After the postponement of the final part of Alicization due to COVID-19 , fans of the Sword Art Online anime can rest assured, as the new season is already confirmed to come out in July.

Confirmation came through a Live Stream from the Dengeki Online, and by the voice of the anime producer himself: Masami Niwa.

Furthermore, Masami assured that the entire anime development team worked hard to deliver the season in July with excellent quality.

This season will finally conclude the Alicization of Sword Art Online , which already has a total of 37 episodes .

On the other hand, the Light Novel continues after Alicization , with the subsequent arc called Unitial Ring , but there is no confirmation of an adaptation.
