The Dengeki Bunko 30th anniversary celebration event announced this Saturday (15) that production of the second season of the anime Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online has been authorized.

Synopsis
The story follows Karen Kohiruimaki, a 183cm tall university student who is insecure about her height and has difficulty dealing with people in the real world. She enters the world of Gun Gale Online with her avatar, Llenn, who is less than 150 centimeters tall and wears pink everything. She meets a beautiful player with dark skin called Pitohui. They get along well, but one day Pitohui pressures her to participate in “Squad Jam”, a team Battle Royale variation of the Bullet of Bullets tournament.
Finally, the anime adapts the light novel series Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online by Keiichi Sigsawa, which in turn is a spin-off of the light novel series Sword Art Online by Reki Kawahara. The first season of the Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online anime premiered in April 2018 and had 13 episodes.
