Story of the game Sword Art Online Variant Showdown

The story revolves around Cross Edge , a game created by a young high school prodigy. Kirito, the protagonist, hears two intriguing rumors about this title. The first is about a mysterious player who unexpectedly appears to attack, causing his victims to lose some of their memories. The second rumor speaks of a hooded player who hides his eyes, reminding Kirito of the dreaded Laughing Coffin guild, encountered in Sword Art Online . Driven by curiosity, Kirito and his friends decide to investigate, but soon find themselves in the middle of a surprise attack.

Therefore, this re-release also celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Sword Art Online , reinforcing the franchise's importance to the otaku community.

Finally, with improvements and new features, Variant Showdown promises to attract both long-time fans and new players, further solidifying SAO's legacy in the mobile gaming universe.
