The official website for the second season of the Sword Art Online II announced this week that the series will premiere on July 5th . According to the website, the premiere will also take place in several events , such as: United States , France, Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan , Korea and Japan .
In the United States, the event that will show the anime will be the Anime Expo in Los Angeles , anticipated on July 4th . The official light novel , Reki Kawahara and illustrator and character designer ABEC will also be present at the event .
The premiere in Japan will be on Tokyo, MX TV on July 5th at 11:30 am . Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will reprise his role as Kirito , the protagonist of the anime's first season .
