Bandai Namco released a promotional video for the new game in the Sword Art Online saga. Titled Sword Art Online -Lost Song being the third game based on the franchise. The story will continue with the light novel arc of “Sword Art online – ALfheim Online”. The release is scheduled for 2015 on both platforms, PS3 and PS Vita.
Namco Bandai announced the development of the first game at Tokyo Game Show 2014 on September 19th.
Sword Art Online (ソードアート・オンライン, Sōdo Āto Onrain?) is a Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec. It has been serialized under ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint since April 10, 2009. An eight-volume manga adaptation was published by ASCII Media Works and Kadokawa.
An anime produced by A-1 Pictures aired in Japan between July and December 2012. An extra episode aired on December 31, 2013 and the anime's second season, titled Sword Art Online II, began airing from 2014. A game based on the series, Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment, was released for the PlayStation Portable in March 2013. The second game, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, was released for the PlayStation Vita in April 2014. The novel and three volumes of the manga have been licensed by Yen Press.
