A stage presentation held for the Sword Art Online AnimeJapan 2022 event , which took place this Sunday, revealed a teaser for the film “ Sword Art Online: Progressive – Kuraki Yuuyami no Scherzo ” (Scherzo of a Dark Twilight), the second in the film series.
The film will be released in Japan this fall.

The event also revealed a video dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Sword Art Online franchise. The franchise will have an event to celebrate this milestone on November 6th in Tokyo.
In addition to all that, the event revealed another video, this time dedicated to the Blu-ray of the first Progressive film.
The film's animation will be handled by A-1 Pictures .
Ayako Kohno will direct the film, while Kento Toya will handle character design. Yasuyuki Kai will serve as action director, and Yuki Kajiura will compose the music.
Also returning are voice actors Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kirito and Haruka Tomatsu as Asuna .
The film will therefore adapt the light novel Sword Art Online: Progressive , by author Reki Kawahara . The novel series began publication in 2012 as a revised version of the Sword Art Online novels . The story then describes Kirito's journey through the floating castle of Aincrad from the beginning, floor by floor.
