The story of Taiso Samurai is set in 2002 and centers on the once-powerful Japanese gymnastics team. Shotaro Aragaki, the former member of the Japanese team who dedicated his life to gymnastics, is no longer able to live up to his expectations. Despite still training hard day after day, he is advised to retire by his coach Amakusa. But, a certain encounter changes Aragaki's destiny.
