The anime Takopi's Original Sin will have a new release in Japanese cinemas. The official team confirmed the compilation film "Takopii no Genzai -Arigatō, Mata Ashita-", bringing together the six episodes of the series with the addition of new scenes that expand on some moments of the story.

The film compiles the episodes of the anime

Based on the manga by Taizan 5, the anime follows Takopi, a seemingly cute alien who arrives on Earth and meets Shizuka, a girl marked by personal problems. While trying to help her using technology and time travel, the character realizes that not everything can be solved simply.

The adaptation was directed by Shinya Iino, known for his work on Dr. Stone, while Keita Nagahara was responsible for character design. However, the studio ENISHIYA produced the animation, originally released in June 2025 on Netflix, Prime Video, and ABEMA.

Manga has become a hit among readers

Published on the Shonen Jump+ platform between 2021 and 2022, the manga quickly gained prominence among the most talked-about titles of the period. Furthermore, the work received nominations for the Manga Taisho Award and the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, solidifying Taizan 5's name among rising authors.

Furthermore, the new film has not yet had a release date revealed outside of Japan. In the meantime, continue following other news about anime, manga , and films on AnimeNews.
