Tales of Zestiria game team announced at the Tales of Festival 2014 event that they are preparing an animated special, possibly an OVA of their recent Tales franchise game. The new animated special is called Tales of Zestiria: Dōshi no Yoake (Tales of Zestiria: Dawn of the Fon Master) and will be entirely produced by the ufotable studio, the same one responsible for franchises such as Fate/Stay Zero.
In addition, other new features emerged for the game. The team revealed that Kenjiro Tsuda will play the villain Zavida. Zavida will be able to use a weapon similar to a pistol. Superfly (Ushijima o Loan Shark) will produce the theme song, which is currently in production. The game will also include a new battle feature called "Kamui", which allows the fusion of a celestial being with humans.
Namco Bandai Games will release the game for the PlayStation 3 worldwide .
