Created by YC and Rakyeon, Teenage Mercenary follows Ijin Yu, a boy who survives a plane crash and ends up becoming a mercenary to survive. However, he returns to Korea after a decade away, reuniting with his family and trying to live as a normal teenager. However, adapting to the school routine can be as challenging as a battlefield.

The webtoon topped the Line Manga charts in both 2023 and 2024. Translated into 10 languages, the series has become a global success. As author YC himself commented, he never imagined such fan support. Rakyeon also expressed his gratitude, saying he was thrilled to reach new audiences through the anime.

Webtoon Entertainment is currently developing 20 adaptations, including the highly anticipated Omniscient Reader , in partnership with Aniplex and Crunchyroll. Finally, recent productions like Viral Hit , Tower of God – Season 2 , True Beauty , and Senpai is a One-N-One have already begun to fuel this new chapter in the anime market.
