Animation studio AIC confirmed on Monday that Tenchi Muyo series , titled Ai Tenchi Muyo! , . studio 's website highlights that production on the animation already at an advanced stage , and that the official website will open this summer.
The city of Takahashi in Okayama, Japan announced last month that it is sponsoring the new anime, which will possibly attract tourists to visit the place. The anime will be set in Takahashi, and plans to related merchandise and events . The series is scheduled to have 50 episodes of approximately five minutes each, published on the Tokyo MX starting in October .
