Now we can relive the classic " Tenchi Muyo! Twitter account and a new website launched this Friday, October 16th, a fourth season of the original Tenchi Muyo! series has been announced, titled Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-4-Ki (4 Season).
The website also announces an event on November 28th in Takahashi, Japan, to focus on the latest anime, “Ai: Tenchi Muyo!”, as well as the newly announced Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-4-Ki. The three main cast members, along with Ai: Tenchi Muyo's Rui Tanabe (Rui Aoi) and Azusa Satou (Yuki Fuka), will participate in the event.
Ai: Tenchi Muyo! premiered last October. The city of Takahashi sponsored the already released series of short films.
The original series (Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki) had six OVA episodes, released in Japan between 1991 and 1992. Due to its popularity, a seventh episode (known as Tenchi Special ) and another chapter called Mihoshi Special . In 1994, a second OVA was created, featuring chapters 8 through 13. From 2003 to 2005, a third OVA series was released, with episodes 14 through 20, focusing on the story of the three goddesses introduced in the second OVA.

Following these releases, three TV series were launched: “Tenchi Universe”, “Tenchi in Tokyo”, and Tenchi Muyo GXP, all with 26 episodes. Additionally, there was a series based on this Tenchi universe called “Pretty Sammy” which features the girl Sasami as the main character in a story completely different from Tenchi Muyo!.
The series aired in Brazil on the Band channel during the "Band Kids" programming block for about 5 years.
