Tenki no Ko is Japan's 10th highest-grossing film

Tenki no Ko ( Weathering With You ) became the tenth highest-grossing film in Japanese history. The film surpassed Your Name , the previous film by famous director Makoto Shinkai .

The film only arrived in Japan, and has already been confirmed to arrive in some countries in North America, Europe, Asia and South America. As well as here in Brazil, the premiere is scheduled for the beginning of 2020.

Synopsis of Tenki no Ko

Tenki no Ko — “Daughter of the Weather”, The story revolves around the teenage couple. Hodaka is a high school student who leaves his home on an isolated island and moves to Tokyo, and Hina is a young girl who can control the weather with “prayers.” Fate will bring the two together in a world where the climate is not at all harmonious.

Finally, in addition to this film, Makoto Shinkai also directed the animations The Place Promised in Our Early Days (2004), Five Centimeters per Second (2007), Children Who Chase Lost Voices (2011) and The Garden of Words (2013).
