Fans of Makoto's works can rejoice! The film Tenki no Ko (Weathering With You), directed by Makoto Shinkai (Kimi no na wa), will be released in Brazilian cinemas.

Therefore, the premiere will take place in early 2020 in Brazilian cinemas. Diamond Films, responsible for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary, will distribute the film. However, there are no major details about dubbed versions.
Synopsis:
Hodaka Morishima, a high school student, leaves his peaceful island home in search of a new life in Tokyo. Isolated and facing hardship, he lands a job as a writer for a magazine dedicated to the occult. It doesn't take long for the city to enter an endless cycle of rainy days. Amidst the urban chaos, Hodaka crosses paths with Hina Amano, a young woman who lives with her younger brother. Despite the challenges, the two maintain a simple and hopeful life. However, Hina harbors an extraordinary secret: she has the ability to make the rain stop and bring back clear skies.
Released in Japanese theaters in July 2019, Weathering With You (Tenki no Ko) follows Hodaka, who has run away from home to Tokyo, and Hina, a girl who controls the weather with her prayers. Furthermore, the two attempt to forge their own destiny in a world that has broken the laws of weather.
Ultimately, the film grossed over 13.7 billion yen in its opening weekend in Japanese cinemas.
