Film administrators in China released the revenue figures for the cinemas in 2019. In addition to having achieved revenue close to 64,266B Yuan (36 billion reais) in total. The agency also reported the highest box office grosses for Japanese films that year.
The film with the highest grossing was Spirited Away , which officially premiered in China 18 years after its release. However, the classic from studio Ghibli closed the year with 488 million Yuan (347 million reais).
Tenki no Ko – Film hits cinemas in Brazil
Second place went to Tenki no Ko (Weathering With You), which grossed 288 million Yuan (164 million reais) throughout 2019. However, if we compare it to Kimi no Na wa , the film failed to reach even half of value, since its predecessor made the equivalent of 352 million reais.
