The anime adaptation of the novel Tensei Shitara Dragon no Tamago Datta : Saikyō Igai Mezasanee ( Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling ), by Nekoko and Naji Yanagida, was announced this Friday (14).

Synopsis:

Our hero wakes up one day in a whole new world… but his new life doesn't come with fighting skills, magical powers, or even arms and legs! He's reborn as a helpless egg, trapped in an unfamiliar forest, surrounded by frightening and hungry creatures. But eggs hatch, hatchlings grow, and humble beginnings can lead to something great. He'll do everything he can to become the strongest dragon of all, and no insignificant shell will stand in his way!

Finally, Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling (Tensei Shitara Dragon no Tamago Datta: Saikyō Igai Mezasanee) began publication in August 2015 in Shōsetsuka ni Narō and a manga adaptation by RIO began publication in May 2017.
