Terminator Zero, Netflix anime, gets images and premiere date

Netflix 's official website has released new information about the Terminator anime . Fans have learned that the anime will now be titled Terminator Zero and will have eight episodes scheduled to premiere on August 29, 2024.

On the website we can read the following:

In Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the highest-grossing film of 1991, it is revealed that August 29, 1997, is the date on which the artificial intelligence network known as Skynet becomes self-aware and usurps its human masters, leading to an all-out war between humanity and machines. Involving flesh-and-blood resistance fighters and time-traveling cyborgs, this battle spans the last decades of the 20th century and the first decades of the 21st century.

Terminator Zero Synopsis:

The story takes place in 2022: A future war has been raging for decades between the few human survivors and an endless army of machines. 1997: The AI known as Skynet has gained self-awareness and launched its war against humanity.

Finally, the direction is by Masashi Kudo at Production IG (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) who will be responsible for the new animation. Furthermore, Mattson Tomlin (Project Power, The Batman) is the animation's executive producer.
