Warner Bros has released a full trailer for the first Terra Formars , an adaptation by author Yū Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana's. The first volume of the OVA will be released with the 10th volume of the manga on August 20th and the second volume will be released with volume 11 in November. The trailer ends with a teaser for the TV series , which is due out this fall.
The TV series will follow the 1st arc of the manga, while the project (OVA ) will adapt the 2nd arc.
With a space project attempting to travel to Mars, 21st century scientists were tasked with the task of warming the planet so that humans could live on its surface. They came up with an efficient plan to send in cockroaches and cover the surface with mold, so that the mold could absorb sunlight, and the insect carcasses would serve as fertilizer for the mold.
Now in the year 2577 the first manned spacecraft has landed on the planet and the six crew members are ready for their mission. But what they will find there are mutated humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical strength. The crew members are easily killed, but not before sending a transmission to Earth.
