Warner Bros. has released a full trailer for the first OVA of Terra Formars , an adaptation of author Yū Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana's novel. The first volume of the OVA will be released with manga 10th volume on August 20 , and the second volume will be released with 11th volume in November. The trailer ends with a teaser for the TV series , which is scheduled for this fall.
The TV series will follow the 1st arc of the manga, while the project (OVA ) will adapt the 2nd arc.
With a space project attempting to travel to Mars, 21st-century scientists were tasked with warming the planet so humans could live on its surface. They came up with an efficient plan: sending cockroaches and covering the surface with mold, allowing the mold to absorb sunlight, and the insect carcasses to serve as fertilizer for the mold.
Now in the year 2577, the first manned spacecraft has landed on the planet, and the six crew members are ready for their mission. But what they encounter there are mutant humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical strength. The crew members are easily killed, but not before they send a transmission to Earth.
