Hello! My name is Charlles, and I'm passionate about Japanese culture, especially the world of anime. Here, I share curiosities, news, and everything related to this world...

The characters of Blue Lock have evolved tremendously since the beginning of the story, and the most recent arc is the greatest demonstration of their abilities. Blue Lock has just concluded the Neo-Egoist League arc, which anime fans can expect to see in the third season. Thanks to this, Blue Lock has officially identified the best players in the Blue Lock program and those who will form the new Japan U-20 team for the World Cup .

The best Blue Lock players – Top 11

11. Tabito Karasu

BL - Karasu
BL – Karasu

Tabito Karasu was introduced as Blue Lock's third-best player and someone who looks down on those he considers mediocre. As revealed in the Blue Lock spinoff, Blue Lock: Episode Nagi , however, Karasu's attitude masks his feelings of insecurity, and he genuinely respects people who can be themselves without caring what others think.

Karasu's analytical skills make him adaptable to real-time situations, which is why he played as a midfielder during the U-20 match. Although he didn't do much during his time with PXG, his performance placed him in 11th place at the end of the Neo-Egoist League . Karasu's ranking is only due to the lack of attention he's received, but with the World Cup approaching, that should change.

10. Rensuke Kunigami

BL - Kunigami
BL – Kunigami

Rensuke Kunigami is one of Isagi's oldest friends from Team Z and someone who used to be a kind and helpful person. After going through the Wild Card program to survive, Kunigami became a cold and domineering figure who only cares about winning, though Isagi and the others still believe he's the same person deep down.

After going through the Wild Card program, Kunigami's physicality and accuracy improved significantly, making him a faithful imitation of Noel Noa, the world's best striker , and he even scored two goals in matches against Barcha and Manshine City. Kunigami played a predominantly supporting role in the second half of the Neo-Egoist League arc, but with his eighth-place finish, there's certainly much more to be achieved.

09. Gin Gagamaru

BL - Gagamaru
BL – Gagamaru

Gin Gagamaru is another member of Team Z and one of the few to survive the Second Selection. When it came time for Blue Lock to play an exhibition match against the U-20 team, Gagamaru was forced to play goalkeeper due to his long limbs and flexibility, and he has played that position ever since.

The fact that Gagamaru could transition so effortlessly from striker to goalkeeper is a testament to his natural talent, and the Neo-Egoist League saw his skills develop even further, with him making one miraculous save after another. Gagamaru rose even higher than Gen Fukaku, someone who was a goalkeeper on purpose , and he will surely go down as one of the greatest players in World Cup history.

08. Oliver Aiku

Bl - Aiku
Bl – Aiku

Oliver Aiku is the former captain of the U-20 team and a master of defense at center back. Although Aiku initially despised Blue Lock, playing against them and eventually losing to them earned him respect, and he wholeheartedly joined the Blue Lock program after they took over the U-20s.

With his spatial awareness and Metavision, a term that defines a near-omnipotent understanding of the field at all times, Aiku is consistently one of the Blue Lock and was certainly one of the few members of the U-20 team to survive the Neo-Egoist League , finishing in 10th place. No other player possesses Aiku's defensive abilities, and they will surely shine even brighter at the World Cup.

07. Yo Hiori

Bl - Hiori
Bl – Hiori

Yo Hiori was introduced in the second season of Blue Lock , though he only gained prominence at the end of the Neo-Egoist League arc. Hiori entered the Blue Lock program as a way to end his soccer career, after growing tired of his parents raising him to be a master, but observing Isagi caused Hiori to develop a genuine passion and become Isagi's greatest partner.

He uses his Metavision and analytical playmaking to make incredible passes and interceptions and control the game, both of which were vital in helping Isagi score some of his greatest goals in the Neo-Selfish League. Hiori may have finished 16th, but it's clear that his lack of passion for much of the Neo-Selfish League was the sole reason he didn't achieve a higher ranking , and that will certainly be reflected in future games.

06. Hyoma Chigiri

BL - Chigiri
BL – Chigiri

Hyoma Chigiri is a former promising soccer player whose high school career was cut short when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament during a match. Chigiri joined Blue Lock as a way to end his soccer career, but with Isagi's encouragement, Chigiri regained his passion for the sport and has been a key player for Blue Lock ever since.

Chigiri's incredible speed has made him a vital part of every team he's played for in Blue Lock , and by the end of the Neo-Egoist League, Chigiri was ranked the sixth-best player in Blue Lock and the only one in Manshine City with consistently good performance. Chigiri has always been one of Blue Lock , and that won't change in the coming arcs.

05. Meguru Bachira

BL - Bachira
BL – Bachira

Meguru Bachira is another member of Team Z and Isagi's best friend in the Blue Lock program. Initially, Bachira wanted to be in Blue Lock to meet more people like himself, but near the end of Season 1, he finally developed his ego and learned to be independent when necessary, without giving up his desire to be with Isagi.

Bachira was touted as a master dribbler, a skill that only improved as he developed his ego. Although he didn't receive much attention in the Neo-Egoist League, Bachira finished 5th in the Neo-Egoist League and was one of the main reasons Nagi was eliminated from Blue Lock. Bachira is undoubtedly one of Blue Lock's best players, and hopefully, the World Cup will allow him to shine again.

04. Shouei Barou

BL - Barou
BL – Barou

Shouei Barou was introduced as a selfish person and an antagonistic figure to Isagi. Instead of becoming kinder, however, Barou redoubled his selfishness and grew thanks to the humility instilled in him, becoming one of Isagi's greatest rivals.

With his overwhelming physicality, his willingness to disrupt teammates to win, and the power of his Predator Eye—a unique form of analysis aimed at finding gaps in goalkeeper defenses—Barou is a menacing all-around player and, in fact, finished 4th in the Neo-Egoist League . Barou's growth in Blue Lock is impressive, and there's no telling how far he will go in the World Cup.

03. Ryusei Shido

BL - Shido
BL – Shido

Ryusei Shido was introduced at the end of Season 1 and immediately established himself as an antagonistic figure by purposefully eliminating Kunigami. From there, he gradually became a chaotic figure who constantly toyed with and fought with people, to the point where Blue Lock temporarily got rid of him and had him play for the U-20 team in their exhibition match.

Shido's superior strength and speed, combined with his knack for consistently getting close to the goal, have consistently made him one of Blue Lock's best players, and he remained at the top throughout the Neo-Egoist League until Shido ended it as Blue Lock's third-best player . There's no other character in Blue Lock quite like Shido, and there's no telling what will happen now that he and Isagi finally have the chance to work together.

02. Rin Itoshi

BL - Itoshi
BL – Itoshi

He is one of the best players in the country and the younger brother of the genius Sae Itoshi. After a falling out with Sae, Rin made it his mission to defeat him and regain his respect. With Isagi stealing both from him, Rin also became Isagi's greatest rival.

With his incredible spatial awareness and the drive he takes to self-destructiveness, Rin has become a perfect mirror image of Isagi. In fact, the Neo-Egoist League ended with Isagi and Rin tied for first place . The World Cup arc will undoubtedly see Sae's return and a rematch between him and Rin, and with how much Rin has grown, that's something to look forward to.

01. Yoichi Isagi

BL - Isagi
BL – Isagi

Finally, Yoichi Isagi is, of course, the protagonist of Blue Lock . Initially someone who simply wanted to win, but lacked the talent to make it happen. But the Blue Lock program forced Isagi to evolve into a master of the game! By the end of the U-20 tournament, he had essentially become the face of the entire program.

Although initially an average player, Isagi's physicality and analytical mind quickly develop throughout the series. Especially with the development of Metavision, he quickly dominates every match he participates in! To the point that, after Bastard Munchen's match against PXG, the Neo-Egoist League ended with Isagi and Rin tied for first place . Isagi's growth is undeniable, and he easily stands out as the best player in all of Blue Lock .
