Synopsis
Chise Hatori, 15 years old. Abandoned, hopeless, and without family, she is bought for money – not by another person, but by an inhuman sorcerer named Elias. Despite her insecurity, she begins her life anew as his apprentice and future wife. She leads her new, quiet life until one day she finds a Japanese picture book, sent to her from London among many others. She found this fateful book when she was younger, still lonely and distressed. This episode precedes Chise's encounter with the Thorn Sorcerer. Chise Hatori, 8 years old. This is my story
The three-episode OVA project is being compiled along with the limited editions of volumes 16, 17, and 18 of Kore Yamazaki manga , The Ancient Magus' Bride .
The team describes the OVA as the "first part" of the new project envisioned for the anime .
