The anime Nigashita Sakana wa Ookikatta ga Tsuriageta Sakana ga Ookisugita Ken ( Always a Catch!, The Fish I Missed Was Big, But I Caught Another Fish Was Too Big ) officially premieres in April 2026. In the promotional visual, the energetic noblewoman Maria appears smiling alongside the prince. Furthermore, other important characters are prominently featured, foreshadowing conflicts and unexpected situations. Meanwhile, the trailer showcases the protagonist's hectic daily life, marked by impulsive decisions and rapid plot twists.
The opening theme was performed by HoneyWorks in collaboration with Suzuki Airi . The song, "Chikai wa Kyun to.", blends romance, pop energy, and an easy-to-remember chorus. In this way, the song reinforces the fun atmosphere of the work right from the first few seconds.
