The anime PSYREN is getting a film adaptation after 15 years

After almost 15 years since its serialization ended in Weekly Shonen Jump Toshiyuki Iwashiro 's manga PSYREN -サイレン- will finally receive a TV anime . The official announcement confirmed the news along with the release of the teaser visual , PV 1 , and the main cast and technical staff.

Published between 2008 and 2010 , PSYREN is a supernatural battle thriller that captivated readers with its dark atmosphere and psychological plot. The story follows Ageha Yoshina , a student who finds a mysterious red calling card . From there, he becomes involved in a series of disappearances linked to the enigmatic Siren Organization , while searching for his childhood friend, Sakurako Amamiya .

Meanwhile, the anime's production will be handled by Studio Satelight , known for works such as Macross and Aquarion Katsumi Ono will direct , with a script by Shin Yoshida and character designs by Shiro Okuma . The soundtrack will feature Go Oomama , Tatsuhiko Saiki , and Hiroshi Kanematsu .

On the other hand, the teaser features live-action images , highlighting phone booths at night and visual concepts from the anime. Furthermore, the author celebrated the adaptation and revealed direct involvement in the scriptwriting. As part of the celebration, all volumes of the manga will be reprinted , and the first 7 chapters are free for a limited time on digital stores.

The anime PSYREN -サイレン- is scheduled to premiere in 2026 .
