Right at the beginning of the episode, a time jump is noticeable. Arthur demonstrates control over his powers and an even closer relationship with Princess Tessia. However, the intense pain at his core remains, and Virion explains that this discomfort will only be interrupted when the powerful beastly will, which resides in his mana core, is released and controlled. This beastly will within Arthur comes from Sylvia, and as soon as Virion helps the boy release it, the egg left by the dragon hatches.

The Beginning After The End introduces Sylvie, Arthur's newest companion

Arthur is charmed by the cuteness of Sylvia's baby dragon and names it Sylvie. In the scene where the boy plays with the little creature, something intriguing happens. The baby dragon bites the protagonist's arm, and a mark appears where it was bitten. As soon as the symbol appears, Sylvie begins to communicate with Arthur in his mind, and he understands her easily.

Furthermore, Arthur begins to enjoy his free time like a normal child, and this is part of his maturation process. Because he retained memories of his past life, the protagonist was always a cold and reserved child with those around him. However, certain events in his journey completely changed him, and the fact that he is able to open up, enjoy his time as a child, and better understand the feelings of others are remarkable achievements.

Unfortunately, Arthur's time in Elenoir is coming to an end. The boy was only supposed to leave in two years, but the Elven Kingdom opens the portal earlier than planned to hold an exchange program, in which young people from the three countries can interact. Therefore, Arthur will have to leave in four months.

The king's farewell

When it's revealed that Arthur is leaving Elenoir, Tessia is extremely upset. To try and cheer her up, the boy invites her for a walk in the forest where they met. There, with the stars shining and the campfire crackling, the strong friendship they've built over the past three years becomes evident. The nostalgia of the moment and the melancholy of the farewell are further intensified by a tranquil melody, which seems to have come from an old fantasy film.

Furthermore, it's relevant to note that the episodes of The Beginning After the End always contain the word "king" in their titles. With this, the anime constantly reminds us of who Arthur was in his past life and the importance of that in the narrative.

Unfortunately, there are still breaks in immersion and excitement during the action sequences. However, some details make Arthur's training scene more interesting, such as the revelation of Virion's other form, which is called the Shadow Panther.

Despite the sadness of leaving Elenoir, now with his bestial will under control and a new companion, the boy finally returns home, reunites with his family, and meets his little sister.

The anime is available on the Crunchyroll streaming platform, with Portuguese subtitles. Additionally, for those who wish to fully immerse themselves in the work, the physical comics are available on the NewPop . There is also a digital version on Tapas .
