The official X account for the anime The Beginning After The End announced two new members of the voice cast on Tuesday (17). The anime is an adaptation of the TurtleMe web novel.

Gen Sato will voice Elijah Knight , while Shōya Chiba will voice Lucas Wykes . The 12th and final episode of the first season will debut both characters this Wednesday, June 18th .
First season of the anime
The first season will have 24 episodes, and a second season has already been confirmed for spring 2026 .
The production is being handled by Studio A-Cat Keitarō Motonaga ( Date A Live directing . Takamitsu Kōno is supervising the script, Masami Sueoka is creating the character designs, and Keiji Inai (Slime Taoshite 300-nen) is composing the soundtrack.
The creator of the work, TurtleMe , serves as story supervisor and executive producer, alongside Mike Zhu and Kevin Nicklaus of Tapas Entertainment, and Gabrielle Luu of TurtleMe LLC.
Franchise success
The author originally launched the web novel The Beginning After The End in January 2017 on Tapas. The webcomic debuted in July 2018 , written by TurtleMe, with art initially by Fuyuki23 . From June 2023, the art was handled by Rise Entertainment . After a brief hiatus in August, publication returned in October, now under the production of MGK-story .
With versions in seven languages , the franchise has already surpassed 61.8 million reads ( 36.1 million for the webcomic and 25.7 million for the web novel ) and generates a global monthly revenue of close to $500,000 .
Currently, the novel series is receiving a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter , aiming to finance premium print editions of the first three volumes . Rocketship Entertainment is leading the initiative, the same publisher that released the print version of Let's Play .
