This fight is a shining example of the thematic depths that are present in One Piece. Well, with Luffy struggling to show his leadership skills and ability to persevere despite all odds. Luffy's remarkable determination is one of the best parts of his character, and the fact that he never backs down is what makes his fights so enjoyable to watch.
Another aspect of Luffy vs. Katakuri what makes the fight stand out is the mutual respect the two fighters have for each other. In other words, the fight seems more like a demonstration of Luffy's Gear 5 powers with a predictable result against.
