In the 37th issue of Shonen Sunday , it was announced this Wednesday that the Birdman will go on hiatus until the magazine's 46th issue, which is scheduled to be released on October 16th. The magazine also announced that Shogakukan will be releasing the first compiled volume of the manga around October 18.
Yellow Tanabe(creator of Birdman) began promoting Kekkaishi on Shonen Sunday in 2003 and ended after 8 years, in 2011. An animated version aired in Japan from 2006 until 2008. Media licensed the distribution of the manga and anime on Latin America, where it aired on Cartoon Network.
