Kodansha activated a website on Thursday (14) to confirm the anime adaptation of Tsuyoshi Yasuda 's manga , The Blue Wolves of Mibu ( Ao no Miburo ). a character teaser video with protagonist Nio and the anime staff.

The film is directed by Kumiko Habara ( I'm Standing on 1,000,000 Lives ) at Maho Film . Kenta Ihara ( Uncle From Another World ) writes the scripts, and Miyako Nishida and Yūko Ōba design the characters.

Synopsis:

Nio is an orphan who can't stop dreaming of a better world. In this action-packed manga, he meets two men who show him how much a few swords can change history. This fascinating samurai series from the acclaimed creator of DAYS shares its setting with Rurouni Kenshin and chronicles the founding of the Shinsengumi by handsome, volatile men who fight for justice… and for themselves!

Finally, author Yasuda The Blue Wolves of Mibu manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in October 2021. Therefore, Kodansha USA Publishing plans to begin printing the manga in English in spring 2024.

Furthermore, Yasuda's soccer manga DAYS also inspired an anime in 2016 and five episodes from 2017 to 2018.
