Studio Ghibli 's new anime , The Boy and the Heron , received its first trailer, which reveals some details of its mysterious story. However, this film also marks the end of an era as it is the last feature film directed by the acclaimed Hayao Miyazaki .

Currently, the trailer does not reveal in-depth details about the film's story, but it does present a little of the protagonist Mahito . Thus, we see that the young boy embarks on a journey that delves deeper into the meaning of life and death.

The Boy and the Heron premiered on July 14th in Japan and will also be shown in the United States on December 8th. However, the film does not yet have a release date in Brazil.

Hayao Miyazaki is one of Japan's most respected and influential animators as he is the co-founder of Studio Ghibli. Additionally, he was also the director of Spirited Away , Princess Mononoke, and The Animated Castle .

Originally, The Boy and the Heron didn't get any trailer and no details about its plot or visuals were revealed before its release in Japan. The only thing Studio Ghibli released was an enigmatic poster. According to Miyazaki, details of the film were kept secret to generate suspense among the public.

Synopsis:

The Boy and the Heron is inspired by the story of the book by Genzaburo Yoshino , released in 1937. The story of the book follows the journey of Copper, a 15-year-old boy who goes on a great journey to discover the meaning of life. However, Miyazaki stated that his film will have a different story.
