Studio Ghibli 's new anime , The Boy and the Heron , received its first trailer, revealing some details of its mysterious story. However, this film also marks the end of an era as it is the last film directed by the acclaimed Hayao Miyazaki .

Currently, the trailer doesn't reveal any in-depth details about the film's story, but it does offer a glimpse of protagonist Mahito . We see the young boy embark on a journey that delves deeper into the meaning of life and death.
The Boy and the Heron premiered in Japan on July 14 and will also be shown in the United States on December 8. However, the film does not yet have a release date in Brazil.
Hayao Miyazaki is one of Japan's most respected and influential animators, having co-founded Studio Ghibli. He also directed Spirited Away , Princess Mononoke , and Howl's Moving Castle .
Originally, The Boy and the Heron didn't receive a trailer, and no details about its plot or visuals were revealed before its Japanese release. The only thing Studio Ghibli released was a cryptic poster. According to Miyazaki, the film's details were kept secret to build suspense.
Synopsis:
The Boy and the Heron is inspired by the story of Genzaburo Yoshino 1937 novel. The book follows the journey of Copper, a 15-year-old boy who goes on a journey to discover the meaning of life. However, Miyazaki has stated that his film will tell a different story.
