Crunchyroll , WOWOW , and Sony Pictures have announced that they are producing an anime adaptation of the light novel "Bye Bye, Earth " by Tow Ubukata .
Although the companies haven't announced a premiere date for the anime, they revealed that it will air on the WOWOW cable television channel in Japan and will be streamed on Crunchyroll "in over 200 countries and territories.".
Synopsis
The story places us in the context of an Earth inhabited by people who possess the ability to assume the form of animals. However, Bell is the only girl in the world without animal characteristics, so her main objective is to discover if other beings like her exist. Bell wields a sword and becomes involved in the struggles between the cities and the outside world.
Ubukata's novel Bye Bye, Earth was first published in December 2000, with art by Yoshitaka Amano . It then received a new edition from 2007 to 2008 with illustrations by Hyung-Tae Kim .
