The May issue of Square Enix ’s Gangan Joker revealed on Friday (21) that Jun Mochizuki The Case Study of Vanitas ” (Vanitas no Carte) will return from hiatus in the next issue of the magazine on May 22 .
The Case Study of Vanitas – Manga return date revealed
The manga went on hiatus in June 2022.
Jun Mochizuki (Pandora Hearts, Crimson-Shell) launched the manga in Gangan Joker in December 2015. Square Enix published the 10th volume in May 2022.
The anime adaptation of The Case Study of Vanitas, animated by studio BONES, premiered in July 2021. The second part of the anime premiered in January 2022. Funimation streamed the first part, and both Funimation and Crunchyroll streamed the second part when it aired, with Crunchyroll also adding the first part to its catalog later.
Synopsis
Despised by others of his kind for being born under a blue moon, the vampire Vanitas was thus filled with fear and desolation. According to legend, he created a cursed grimoire known as The Book of Vanitas, and it is said that one day he would use it to bring retribution upon all vampires of the red moon. In 19th-century Paris, Noah Archivist is searching for the legendary Book of Vanitas. While traveling aboard an aircraft, he is saved from a vampire attack by an eccentric doctor who calls himself Vanitas and carries the book he seeks. Ironically, the self-proclaimed vampire expert is a mere human who inherited his name and the book from his master, the same Vanitas of legend. Ultimately, as strange cases emerge, the doctor's ability to restore the sanity of vampires proves very beneficial.
