A new anime adaptation of the classic manga Cat's Eye was confirmed this Thursday (21) by Disney+.

After nearly 40 years, Cat's Eye, the iconic anime about the mysterious sisters, is back with a new series! The production will be released exclusively on Disney+ Star in 2025.

Synopsis of Cat's Eye:

The story blends action, romance, and comedy as the sisters stage daring escapes and engage in a cat-and-mouse game with the police, including a thrilling and risky relationship between Hitomi and Detective Toshio.

This new adaptation is part of Disney's commitment to bringing classics to a modern audience, while maintaining the charm that has won over fans around the world.

Therefore, Cat's Eye is a manga written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo , published in Shueisha 's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine between 1981 and 1985. In 1983 , the Tokyo Movie Shinsha studio released the first anime version, broadcast on Nippon TV , followed by a second season in 1985 .

Finally, the series also spawned a television film in 1988 and a film adaptation in 1997.
