Aniplex , the production company behind the Naruto films, will release Boruto: Naruto the Movie on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on July 6, 2016. There will be a regular edition, which includes only Boruto, but there will also be a limited edition that includes the film, a soundtrack CD, a Digipak illustrated by Tetsuya Nishio , the film's character designer, a special booklet, and a new anime special!
The special will be an adaptation of the one-shot, " The Day Naruto Became Hokage ," created by Masashi Kishimoto , depicting the ceremony and the events that take place before and after it.
