TOHO has released a new trailer and promotional image for the anime The Deer King (Shika no Ou). According to the official website , the new film will hit theaters in Japan on September 10, 2021 .

Synopsis:
The film tells the story of Van, a captain of a group of soldiers who expects to die in battle for his lands against a large empire. However, instead of dying, Van is taken hostage and subsequently enslaved.
Finally, the film is based on the light novel by author Nahoko Uehashi, which has more than 1.5 million copies in print.
