During the Kadokawa Light Novel Expo 2021 it was revealed that the new anime The Detective is Already Dead (Tantei wa Mō, Shindeiru / Tanmoshi) got its first 'trailer'. According to the official website, the series arrives in July.

Synopsis
The story follows the life of Kimihiko Kimitsuka, a young man who four years ago became an assistant to a mysterious detective known as “Siesta” during a plane hijacking. Together, Kimihiko and Siesta embarked on mind-bending adventures and explored the world while fighting a secret organization, but all of that ended when Siesta died.
Finally, the novel began to be published in November 2019 and was, in the same year, the winner of the twenty-fifth edition of the MF Bunko J Newcomer Award .
