During the Kadokawa Light Novel Expo 2021 , it was revealed that the new anime The Detective is Already Dead (Tantei wa Mō, Shindeiru / Tanmoshi) received its first trailer. According to the official website, the series will arrive in July.

Synopsis
The story follows Kimihiko Kimitsuka, a young man who four years ago became the assistant of a mysterious detective known as "Siesta" during a plane hijacking. Together, Kimihiko and Siesta embarked on mind-boggling adventures and explored the world while battling a secret organization, but all of that ended when Siesta died.
Finally, the novel began to be published in November 2019 and was, in the same year, the winner of the twenty-fifth edition of the MF Bunko J Newcomer Award .
