The Dengeki Bunko 30th anniversary celebration event revealed this Sunday (16) that Satoshi Wagahara will release a new light novel titled “Hataraku Maou-sama! ES!!” to celebrate the new anime season of the work, which is called “The Devil Is a Part-Timer!!” (with two exclamation marks).
The Devil Is a Part-Timer!! – Light novel will have a new volume
Therefore, the novel arrives in Japan from September 8th, with illustrations made by 029. In the story of the new volume, Maō (the Demon King Satan) surprisingly wins the lottery. The plot will also portray Emi and her friends shortly before arriving in Japan.

Synopsis
After being defeated by the heroine Emilia, the Demon King and his general hurriedly flee to a parallel universe... only to fall into the hustle and bustle of modern, bustling Tokyo! Without the magic needed to return home, the two are forced to assume human identities and live ordinary human lives until they find a better solution. And to survive, Satan finds a job at a nearby diner! With his demonic mind focused on progressing through the management hierarchy, what will become of his thirst for conquest?!
“The Devil Is a Part-Timer!!” premiered in July 2022. The anime also arrived exclusively in Japan on Disney+ on the same day and time as its TV premiere. Crunchyroll also streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
The first season of the anime premiered in 2013.
