The manga Medaka Box , created by writer Nisio Isin and illustrated by Akira Akatsuki , has had its conclusion confirmed in the double issue 22-23 of the Weekly Shounen Jump , from the Japanese publisher Shueisha. The final chapter will be released on April 27th and will feature a color page to mark this conclusion.
Like other great works, Medaka Box had a remarkable run. The series debuted over a four-year period, totaling 20 bound volumes. Furthermore, in 2012, the story received an anime adaptation by Gainax, directed by Shouji Saeki, yielding two action-packed seasons filled with memorable moments.
An unconventional board president
The plot revolves around Kurokami Medaka, a model student who, newly elected student council president at Hakoniwa High School, decides to create a "suggestion box." The idea seems simple, but it eventually becomes the trigger for complex challenges, from disciplinary issues to school mysteries.
Although reluctant, his childhood friend, Zenkichi Hitoyoshi, becomes involved in the investigations and resolutions. After all, together they form an unusual duo capable of solving even the most absurd requests.
Medaka Box mixes action, comedy, romance and ecchi in a narrative that, although eccentric, has won its place among shounen fans.
