The manga The Fledgling Demon Lord's Starter Shop (Sudachi no Maōjō), by Makoto Morishita, will receive an anime scheduled to premiere in January 2027. The announcement came with the first teaser, promotional visual, and the names of the main cast and production team for the series.

In the story, the world finally lives in peace with the defeat of the demon king. However, this tranquility creates an unexpected problem for Villager, owner of a small item shop. Without monsters and adventurers seeking potions, business falls into crisis until the arrival of a mysterious girl who completely changes his destiny.
A fantasy with a touch of comedy
The story follows Villager and Mao on a fantasy adventure filled with humor and everyday situations. The manga began serialization in Monthly Shonen Magazine in October 2021 and has already reached 12 collected volumes. It is also available in English through Kodansha 's K MANGA service .
Studio Project No.9 is working on the anime's animation, with Jun Hira directing and Keiichiro Ochi writing the script. Katsuyuki Sato is handling character design . The main cast includes Reiji Kawashima as Villager and Rumi Okubo as Mao.
