Square Enix announced this Friday that the manga The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses (Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta) is receiving an anime adaptation that will premiere this year.
Koume Fujichika drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement:
The anime's official website is hosting a countdown that will end on January 31st.
Synopsis
A delightful romantic comedy about a boy who only has eyes for the girl who always forgets her glasses! With the new school year comes a new classroom, new classmates, and a new desk for shy Komura. But any apprehension he might have felt quickly dissipates when he spots Mie, who sits next to him. With a habit of silently blurting out the most random things possible, the quirky Mie wears thick glasses that accentuate her adorable eyes, making Komura's heart beat faster! Unfortunately, Mie is pathologically forgetful and never manages to remember to bring her glasses to class! But all is not lost! Her mischievous, scrawny face makes Komura's heart race!
