“Too Many Losing Heroines!” follows the story of Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a boy who calls himself a “background character.” However, his life changes unexpectedly when he accidentally witnesses his popular classmate, Anna Yanami, being rejected by her childhood friend. From that moment on, Kazuhiko finds himself involved with several girls, including Anna.
Fans were impressed by the quality of the animation and the way each of the female characters was portrayed. The series quickly climbed in popularity, reaching second place on MyAnimeList , right behind the phenomenon "Oshi no Ko".
Therefore, Amamori released the first volume of the novel “Too Many Losing Heroines!” in July 2021 under Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko imprint, with illustrations by Imigimuru. Ultimately, the story won the 15th Shogakukan Light Novel Award in 2020.
