The anime So What's Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? ( Tensei Goblin dakedo Shitsumon Aru? ) has released its first official teaser and confirmed its premiere for October. The adaptation brings to the screen the manga by Nazuna Miki with illustrations by Tsukasa Araki, published since 2020 on the Tonari no Young Jump platform.

The film is directed by Ryūta Kawahara at studio BAKKKA. The screenplay is by Yūichirō Momose, while Hiroyuki Saita is responsible for character design. The soundtrack is composed by Takenoko Boy, with sound direction by Hiroto Morishita.

In the cast, Kikunosuke Toya plays Akira. Yōko Hikasa voices Karen, a goblin hunter, and Azusa Tachibana plays Chloe, a demon girl. The work is a fantasy manga with reincarnation, focused on power evolution and survival.

Synopsis Goblin Reborn

The story follows Akira, an ordinary worker who dies after saving a child and is reborn as a goblin. Unlike the norm for his species, he develops abilities that extend his life and pave the way for him to evolve in this new world.

The manga was launched in 2020 by Shueisha and already has 14 volumes published in Japan. Yen Press distributes the English version, with volume 10 scheduled for May. The narrative features a protagonist who defies the limitations of his own race.

With its premiere scheduled for October, the anime expands the presence of reincarnation stories this season. For more news, follow other anime updates on AnimeNews.
