The official website for the anime of The Greatest Demon Lord is Reborn as a Typical Nobody revealed today that it will air in 2022. Additionally, it also released a new image showcasing the visual style and main staff .

Synopsis
In his past life, he was known as Demon Lord Varvatos, an all-powerful ruler and magic user. But he was alone after losing his friends and loved ones during his rise to power, so in his dying moments, Varvatos cast a reincarnation spell so he would have a second chance to be just a normal guy. At first, it seems to work – he was reborn thousands of years later as the villager Ard. Unfortunately for him, his memories are still intact, and he doesn't know how much he lost during the time he spent without existing, and it seems this will cost him his normal life.
The light novel adaptation of The Greatest Demon Lord was released in 2017, with illustrations by Sao Mizuno .
