The official website for Shogakukan 's Big Comic Spirits announced that the anime adaptation of Makoto Ojiro 's Insomniacs After School will premiere in Japan in April 2023 on Tokyo TV and other television channels.
The main cast of the anime includes:
- Gen Sato as Ganta
- Konomi Tamura as Isaki
Yuki Ikeda is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS studio, and Rintarou Ikeda (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It, The Seven Deadly Sins: Imperial Wrath of The Gods) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Yuki Fukuda (Plunderer) is designing the characters. Yuki Hayashi (Haikyu!!, My Hero Academia, Gundam Build Fighters) is composing the music.
Synopsis
The story follows Ganta and Isaki, two teenagers who suffer from insomnia and are worried about the effects it may have on their health. They spend time in an observatory room that has been transformed into a storage room, where they share secrets and stories, thus creating an unusual connection.
Makoto Ojiro launched the manga in Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine in May 2019.
