live-action adaptation of the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender premiered in February on the Netflix . Fans were pleasantly surprised by its release.

Therefore, through a post on the social network X (Twitter) from the official Netflix profile, the platform celebrates with fans that "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is the most watched series in the world, breaking all records.

The streaming service is now planning how to incorporate some ideas that weren't included in the final version of the first season. However, according to executive producer Jabbar Raisani, in an interview with the news site Deadline , the intention is to be as inclusive as possible and make the most of the available material.

“We want to create a series to reach the largest possible audience. This doesn't mean we'll leave anything out of the animated series. In fact, we're committed to being as faithful as possible, but we're also aware that we need to condense everything into eight episodes, maintaining an engaging narrative that keeps people watching.”.

The producer also openly mentioned the possibility of incorporating some unused ideas in the future:

“There are things we filmed that I love, but that weren’t included in the series. There are other ideas that I greatly appreciate, that we filmed but didn’t finish. If we have another season, we will certainly take advantage of those ideas, because I believe that what we got wrong now, we can improve next time.”.

With three initial seasons (totaling 61 episodes), Avatar: The Last Airbender earned a place among the most popular animated series of all time. The series received a sequel titled The Legend of Korra, which followed the Avatar who succeeded Aang. Beyond its success on screen, these titles spawned a franchise that expanded into books and comics.

Avatar: The Last Airbender has Albert Kim (The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Nikita) as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. The Netflix version of the animated series follows the journey of young Aang, a young Avatar who must learn to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, and Air) to restore balance to a world threatened by the terrible Fire Nation.

Finally, the entire Avatar: The Last Airbender series is available on Netflix .
