live-action adaptation of the animated film Avatar: The Last Airbender Netflix in February . Fans were pleasantly surprised after its premiere.

Therefore, through a post on the official Netflix profile on the social network X (Twitter), the platform celebrates with fans that “Avatar: The Last Airbender” is the most watched series in the world, breaking all records.

The streaming service is now planning how to incorporate some ideas that didn't make it into the final version of the show's first season. However, according to executive producer Jabbar Raisani, in an interview with news website Deadline , the intention is to be as inclusive as possible and make the most of the available material:

"We want to create a series that reaches as many viewers as possible. That doesn't mean we're leaving out anything from the animated series. In fact, we're committed to being as faithful as possible, but we're also aware that we need to condense everything into eight episodes while maintaining a compelling narrative that keeps people watching."

The producer also openly mentioned the possibility of incorporating some ideas they didn't use in the future:

"There are things we filmed that I love, but that didn't make it into the series. There are other ideas I really care about, that we filmed but didn't finish. If we have a next season, we'll definitely take advantage of those ideas, because I believe that what we failed to do now, we can improve on next time."

With its first three seasons (totaling 61 episodes), Avatar: The Last Airbender earned its place among the most popular animated series of all time. The series spawned a sequel, The Legend of Korra, which followed the Avatar who succeeded Aang. Beyond their success on screen, these titles spawned a franchise that has expanded into books and comics.

Avatar: The Last Airbender has Albert Kim (The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Nikita) as showrunner, executive producer and screenwriter. The Netflix version of the animation follows the journey of young Aang, a young Avatar who must learn to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire and Air) to restore balance in a world threatened by the terrible Fire Nation.

Finally, the series Avatar: The Last Airbender is available in full on Netflix .
