The streaming service is now planning how to incorporate some ideas that were not included in the final version of the first season of the work. However, according to executive producer Jabbar Raisani, in an interview with the news website Deadline , the intention is to be as inclusive as possible and make the most of the available material:

“We want to create a series to reach as many viewers as possible. This doesn't mean we'll leave out anything from the animated series. In fact, we're committed to being as faithful as possible, but we're also conscious that we need to condense everything into eight episodes while maintaining an engaging narrative that keeps people watching.”

The producer also openly mentioned the possibility of incorporating some ideas that were not used in the future:

“There are things we filmed that I love that didn’t make it into the series. There are other ideas that I feel very strongly about, that we filmed but didn't complete. If we have a next season, we will certainly take advantage of these ideas, as I believe that what we made mistakes now, we can improve next time.”

With three initial seasons (totaling 61 episodes), Avatar: The Last Airbender has earned a place among the most popular animations of all time. The series received a sequel titled The Legend of Korra, which followed the Avatar who succeeded Aang. In addition to their success on screen, these titles gave rise to a franchise that expanded into books and comics.

Avatar: The Last Airbender stars Albert Kim (The Legend of the Headless Horseman, Nikita as showrunner, executive producer and screenwriter. Netflix's version of the animation follows the journey of young Aang, a young Avatar who needs to learn to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire and Air) to restore balance in a world threatened by the terrible Fire Nation.
