Treat it as a rumor, but strong evidence indicates that the 2013 game could get a remake for the Playstation 5 .
According to the Bloomberg , the game was a Visual Arts Service Group , but ended up being passed on to the Californian studio.
The game was codenamed "T1X" and was started by Michael Mumbauer , founder of Visual Arts Service Group . With his team of 30 people, he reportedly gave up on the idea of remaking Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (2007).
However, the team ran into trouble as Sony kept its existence a secret and refused to offer a larger investment. Then, Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, deemed the title too expensive and had the studio help with the production of Part II (2020).
Eventually, Sony hired several Naughty Dog to work on the "T1X" project. The remake became a Naughty Dog game. Since then, Mumbauer and other original developers have left the company, but the game has remained in development.
