The Moon on a Rainy Night Anime Reveals Cast in New Video
The anime The Moon on a Rainy Night (Amayo no Tsuki) has released its first full promotional video, introducing the voice actresses for the lead characters and new production staff members. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2027.

Iori Saeki will voice Saki Kindaichi, while Sora Amamiya will play Kanon Oikawa. The adaptation is based on the manga by Kuzushiro, published by Kodansha.
Production staff
Tomoe Makino is directing the anime at CompTown, with Shogo Yasukawa handling series composition and scripts. Ayumi Nishibata is designing the characters.
The staff also includes Seung Deok Kim and Tsutomu Tomoyuki as assistant directors. Haruko Nobori is handling color design, Mai Ichioka is serving as art director, and Atsushi Sato is handling photography. The group jizue will compose the soundtrack.
Anime story
The story follows Saki, a student who meets Kanon during an unexpected encounter on a rainy night. The next day, the two discover they are classmates. Kanon is hard of hearing and tends to keep her distance from others, but Saki tries to get closer to her, beginning a relationship that changes both their lives.
However, the manga debuted on Kodansha's Comic Days website in June 2021. Additionally, the series already has 12 volumes released in Japan.
