Fans were caught by surprise! The One Piece will be going on a six-month hiatus for the first time in its history.

The hiatus will begin on October 27, 2024, with a return scheduled for 2025. The main reason for this break is that the production team decided to focus on improving the animation quality, aiming to deliver visuals that are on par with the franchise's most recent episodes.

During this hiatus, the anime will broadcast the Fish-Man Island Arc, but this time in a remastered and improved version. Therefore, the new edition will significantly reduce the number of episodes, from 51 to just 21, eliminating filler chapters and providing a more dynamic experience that is faithful to the manga's story.

Finally, this interruption is due to an effort to "improve its quality," even with current episodes featuring exceptional direction and animation. Furthermore, Jump Festa 2025, which will take place in December 2024, will reveal further details about the suspension.
